022 | From Skinny To Strong | with Kristy Morrell

Today’s guest is one of my best friends. I am so excited to introduce you to my college dietician and dear friend: Kristy Morrell, now the sports dietician for USC and the LA Kings.

We began working together after I was forced to retire from volleyball at USC during my junior year. I unfortunately was going through a lot of health issues and had some food allergies that she was able to pinpoint (goodbye, gluten and dairy). She also diagnosed me with an eating disorder, as I tried to control my life which was quickly falling apart.

We have stayed so close since, and bonded over a lot, both spiritually and emotionally. She’s one of the kindest, most thoughtful women I’ve ever known, and her ability to cheerlead and support the women around her is really remarkable. I’ve learned a lot about being a good friend and what a tribe really looks like from Kristy.

I can’t wait for you to meet her.
